More and more people are learning about human trafficking and feel compelled to do something about it.

This guidebook accompanies the Harming While Trying to Help video.  Both are part of SWAN's four-part multi-media Harms of Anti-Trafficking Project, generously funded by LUSH Cosmetics.

"Outlining what harm looks like in antitrafficking work, and offering alternatives to engage in ethical and responsible antitrafficking campaigns, this guide supports good intentions to become effective actions. Whether you’re a celebrity, a high-profile activist, a government official, or just a member of the general public who wants to make the world a better place, we invite you to reflect on the anti-trafficking work you engage in.

SWAN is as invested as anyone in preventing and addressing human trafficking. We want every anti-trafficking action to be effective. After all, doesn’t everyone want to rest easy knowing that their efforts have maximum impact?"
