SWAN will join other migrants rights organizations to explore issues of undocumented migrancy in Vancouver & BC. We'll be addressing questions such as: What stigmas do migrants face that leave them vulnerable to forms of discursive and state violence? What forms of employment and daily survival are available for migrants?

Dr. Naomi Paik, author of Bans, Walls, Raids, Sanctuary: Understanding U.S. Immigration for the Twenty-First Century, will provide comparisons and share strategies from her work on abolitionist models of immigrant justice in the United States.

This event has been postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please stay safe & stay tuned for rescheduling updates as they become available.
